How to learn things as an adult
A new post is up on my website. This one is about seven methods for learning things as an adult. Very quickly here are the bullet points:
Take online courses.
Take a course at your local community college.
Pursue hands-on lessons.
Do it yourself. Find tutorials on YouTube.
Work on it daily by taking a challenge.
Immerse yourself.
Read read read.
Check out the post for more details. Plenty of resources are included.
Mobile security
Google Chrome’s web tracking is a problem. I've started using Duck Duck Go's mobile browser on my phone as a replacement for Chrome. Long ago, I made the switch from Google Search to Duck Duck Go as my default search engine.
Turkey time
As always this time of year, The Serious Eats Guide to Thanksgiving is an invaluable resource. If you haven’t ever spatchcocked a turkey, I recommend this be the first year you do so. A spatchcocked turkey will cut down on your time spent in the kitchen, while resulting in a juicier bird.
Soothing music at the aquarium
If you are looking for a way to relax, you can view aquatic creatures in their tanks at the Monterey Bay Aquarium while listening to lofi hip hop. Check out Cloud Zoo for more virtual viewing of wildlife.
