Holiday gift guide
I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving. On Friday I published my 2020 Holiday Gift Guide at my website. Over on Twitter, I’m keeping a thread of my favorite gift guides form across the web.
Virtual cities
Quench your wanderlust by visiting foreign cities. At citywalks.live you can virtually walk around some of the best cities in the world. The site allows you to toggle for night or day and pandemic or no pandemic. At window-swap.com you can take a look out of a random stranger’s window, or you can share your own.
The Queen’s Gambit
With the success of The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix, chess’ popularity has skyrocketed. For those looking to learn how to play, there are a number of chess resources available online. This article by The Guardian lists a few, including chess.com and lichess.org. I also recommend chesstactics.org or just reading Chess for Dummies if you are a beginner.
Myspace is back!
A developer has recreated Myspace from 2007. See for yourself at spacehey.com. Tom might not be around anymore, but you can be my friend.
