💩 2020 Game
2020 is over. Relive the awful year in all its glory with this 8-bit game.
💌 Letter writing
February is International Correspondence Writing Month. Celebrate the occasion by participating in InCoWriMo — a challenge to write and mail one letter, card, note, or postcard every day during the month of February.
📚 Read harder
Every year Book Riot issues a challenge to read 24 books with a variety of specifications — the goal being to encourage readers to explore books they might not otherwise read. Check out this year’s list and get started.
🎸 FIRE and ultralearning
I've been catching up on the Mad Fientist's journey into ultralearning. For those not familiar with the Mad Fientist, he is the host of a podcast about financial independence. In an episode from October, he discussed the success of his ultralearning experiment — he tasked himself with writing a song in three months. Since those three months expired, he has gone on to produce an entire album.
For more on ultralearning, check out the Mad Fientist's interview with ultralearner Scott Young. Or get the ultralearning book.
✍ Improve your writing
My recent blog post is a list of 20 ways in which to improve your writing. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the subject. I read On Writing Well by William Zinsser. And previously I published a post on books to improve your writing.
